Our New Location Opening Soon!
We are pleased to report that we are preparing to move into our new home located at 8 North Main Street in Rockland! Our new location will house our headquarters and offer expanded display space for our extensive collection, as well as archival storage space and a research center. We continue to raise funds to facilitate the move and help secure the new location as the permanent home of the society. Our Beginnings
Rockland Historical Society was founded in 1977 by a group of local history enthusiasts who recognized the need to preserve the rich heritage of our community. Since then, we have grown into a thriving organization that serves as a hub for historical research and education.
Our Collection
Though we are temporarily between physical locations, our collections, which include thousands of artifacts, photographs, and documents that tell the story of our community is securely stored and awaiting it's new home. Many items will be available to view here on our website or on our Facebook Page. Visit us often for the latest!
